VARIABLE FREQUENCY POWER SUPPLY
Type PG50B

The Convex Design PG50B is a variable frequency sinusoidal AC power supply. The frequency is continuously variable from 44-56Hz. The output voltage is continuously variable in three switched ranges, nominally 63.5V, 110V and 240Vrms. The 4mm output sockets have shrouded contacts for use with shrouded safety plugs. The rated output of 50VA is obtained at the nominal voltage in each range.

The output is overload protected and indication is provided to show the overload condition. Removal of the overload automatically resets the output to its normal operating condition. The unit includes a 3½ digit LED voltmeter to indicate the output voltage and a 5 digit LED frequency meter giving frequency resolution of 0.001Hz. The frequency meter can also be switched to display the incoming mains supply frequency.

Output voltage and frequency are continuously variable and are adjusted by means of 10-turn potentiometers.

The unit is housed in a two-tone grey metal case with adjustable carrying handle and is supplied complete with manual and test leads. A padded carrying case is available, if required.
